Complete Artwork Delivery Newsquest Bradford are committed to increasing digital receipt of artwork and therefore promote
the Newspaper Society sponsored - Adfast delivery system.
The Newsquest Bradford complete artwork format is PDF. Files can be supplied on disc (CD) or by Email (if file sizes permit)
PDF Files
PDF is the standard file format for digital file transfer and production.
PDF’s can be created from most desktop applications (Mac or PC) Adobe Acrobat’s free reader allows any PDF file to be viewed by any computer platform.
When generating a PDF it is important that you consider the final use, i.e. screen preview, laser output, litho printing etc. Do not assume that the PDF created for us will be acceptable for any other company.
PDF Files should be supplied as composite CMYK. Do not use Register (CMYK) Blacks. Pantone and RGB colours are not acceptable.
Bleed should be a minimum of 4 mm where appropriate.
Graphics/pictures included should be high-resolution (300 dpi or higher) CMYK or
Greyscales at an output size of 100%
Line-art specification 600 dpi (at an output size of 100%).
All printer fonts should be embedded. The PDF fields should not contain Truetype or
MultipleMaster fonts. Scans should be saved as EPS or TIFF without compression
Trapping will be overwritten at our output bureau to accommodate the Presses
File naming should be unique reference number supplied by your Newsquest Bradford
representative. Failure to supply URN may result in omission or incorrect publication of your advertisement.
Please note:
We DO NOT accepte artwork as film seperations
Artwork supplied as ‘hard copy’ may be scanned or re-set at the discretion of Newsquest Bradford
It should be noted that Newsquest Bradford will NOT, under any circumstances, accept copies
of Fonts. Fonts are licensed to the purchaser and may only be copied for the purposes of backing up. It is illegal to copy fonts in any form (i.e. to external discks).
